7. Tussen ‘n jeuk en steekpyn. Ek is seker daar is ‘n tegniese term hiervoor, maar ”n kruising tussen ‘n jeuk en ‘n steek’ is die beste manier om dit te beskryf. Dit gebeur diep in my spiere en dit is onmoontlik om te krap. Dit veroorsaak ook bewing in die aangetaste deel van my liggaam.
8. kneusplekke op die vel, maar ook aan die binnekant, wat gekneus en sensitief lyk. Die meeste van die borskas en ribbekas is gekneus, wat asemhaling pynlik kan maak.
9. U voel sleg oor die hele liggaam. As ek hipersensitief is, voel ek ongemak in my hele liggaam, die geringste aanraking of beweging wat pyn in my liggaam veroorsaak.
10. Styfheid Stel jou voor dat ‘n gesonde persoon na maande van onaktiwiteit na die gimnasium gaan. Lig gewigte op en oefen ‘n volledige liggaam. Die volgende dag voel hulle gevries en sukkel hulle om rond te beweeg. ‘N Persoon met fibromialgie word elke oggend wakker met dieselfde gevoel: dit lyk of u vier kleiner groottes onder die vel dra.
11. Bestraalde pyn Ek voel pyn wat ‘n sentrale punt het, maar wat vanaf hierdie punt uitstraal. Die pyn begin moontlik in my rug, maar dit beweeg byvoorbeeld ook langs my bene.
12. Pyn veroorsaak deur aanraking. Selfs die geringste aanraking met ‘n geliefde kan pyn veroorsaak. Ek moet twee groottes groot klere dra, gemaak van ‘n sagte en naatlose materiaal. Ek gebruik groter, sagte, plat skoene en ek moet my hare sny, want my vel is baie seer. Aanraking veroorsaak baie van die soorte pyn wat ek beskryf het.

16. Prikkelbare dermsindroom. Fibromialgie word dikwels gepaard met ander toestande, soos prikkelbare dermsindroom (IBS). In teenstelling met die algemene opvatting, kom IBS-pyn nie net in die ingewande voor nie, maar straal dit ook uit na ander liggaamsdele, veral die rug, dit is skerp, brandende pyn. Een van die pynlikste simptome van IBS is die gas wat in ‘n reeds ontsteekte ingewande vasgevang is.
